YIP Committees

Education Committee

The Education Committee focuses on supporting and encouraging the next generation of insurance professionals. Through partnerships with business colleges and insurance/risk management programs, YIP members connect with college students to help them build confidence in public speaking, interviewing, and participating in panel discussions. Students also learn about the many career opportunities available within the insurance industry, including agencies, carriers, adjusting, underwriting, and more.

Serve Day / Service Projects Committee

The Serve Day and Service Projects Committee gives members opportunities to give back to their communities throughout the year. YIP hosts two annual service projects, including volunteering at a local food bank during the holiday season and collecting useful supplies for first responders each September, such as pens, notepads, hand sanitizer, and other everyday essentials.

Convention Committee

The Convention Committee helps support and enhance the annual PIA Arkansas Convention experience for YIP members and attendees. Committee members assist with planning YIP activities during convention, coordinating networking opportunities, and creating ways for young professionals to connect with agency leaders, carrier partners, and other industry professionals. This committee is a great opportunity for members to become more involved in one of the association’s largest events while building valuable industry relationships.

Golf Committee

The Golf Committee assists with planning and organizing YIP golf events and tournaments throughout the year. From coordinating sponsors and teams to helping create a fun and welcoming atmosphere, this committee plays an important role in one of YIP’s most popular networking opportunities. Golf events provide a relaxed environment for members, sponsors, and industry professionals to connect, strengthen relationships, and support YIP initiatives.

Events Committee

The Events Committee helps create networking opportunities that bring insurance professionals together throughout the year. YIP typically hosts four networking mixers annually — in February, during convention, in the summer, and in the fall. These events encourage young agents and industry professionals to connect, build relationships, and become more involved in the independent insurance community.
